Dear ,
I am super excited to see you in Seattle in November. Let me paint a picture for you so you can get excited too!
You arrive at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), one of the most traveler-friendly airports, with easy access to the city. After admiring the iconic Mount Rainier in the distance, you decide to grab a cup of authentic Seattle coffee to kickstart your adventure. You saved so much on your flight in (flights from LAX, PHX, and SLC are ~$50 - $150 right now!) that you treat yourself to a delicious smoked salmon snack while you're there. Then you take the Link Light Rail straight from the airport to downtown Seattle, just a few blocks from the Hyatt Regency Seattle. The journey is seamless, and the views of the city as you roll in are beautiful. You arrive feeling energized and ready to explore!
You settle into the Hyatt Regency, which offers amazing views of the Space Needle and Puget Sound, and you’re ready to experience all the city has to offer. You and your colleagues make plans for a late dinner, perhaps heading over to Pike Place Market (which is within walking distance of the hotel!) for some fresh seafood, or maybe you'll check out an iconic Seattle food truck—there’s no shortage of amazing eats!
The next morning, after a restful sleep, you're ready to dive into the pre-conference workshop, “Department of Education: Student Privacy Policy Office FERPA Workshop.” You’re looking forward to hearing from PACRAO’s speakers this year: Richard Taylor Jr., Leilani Lewis, Dr. Joan King, and Megan Kennedy. And then there are the sessions! You’ve already planned out your schedule on Guidebook, including “The End of Burnout Culture,” “Cultivating & Curating Academic Policy to Drive Student Success,” and “Academic Policy Reform - A Roadmap towards Student Success and Equity.”
