Brief Description
The Program Representative 1 (Scheduler) position is responsible for a wide range of tasks directly related to the creation of the schedules for courses and classrooms for OSU-Corvallis. This position is a member of the Scheduling Team in the Office of the Registrar at OSU-Corvallis and will have the primary responsibility for coordinating the development of class sections and classroom schedules. Collaboration and communication are important aspects of this position as the Scheduler frequently interacts with department staff, faculty, and academic advisors.

The Program Representative 1 (Scheduler) position is responsible for a wide range of tasks directly related to the creation of the schedules for courses and classrooms for OSU-Corvallis. This position is a member of the Scheduling Team in the Office of the Registrar at OSU-Corvallis and will have the primary responsibility for coordinating the development of class sections and classroom schedules. Collaboration and communication are important aspects of this position as the Scheduler frequently interacts with department staff, faculty, and academic advisors. This position will routinely advise on scheduling protocol and requirements and evaluate requests for agreement with university scheduling policy and practices. The Scheduler is responsible for accurate and complete entry of information in the Banner SIS, CourseLeaf Section Scheduler (CLSS), CollegeNet 25Live Pro, and Schedule25 Optimizer. Accuracy is imperative as term schedules are fundamental to critical processes in the Office of the Registrar, university departments, and enterprise data and reporting systems. Success in this position includes the ability to pivot quickly within an ever-changing environment; comfort with ambiguity and flexibility are important.

Required Qualifications
  • Two years of technical or professional-level experience advising and/or instructing the public concerning specific programs or processes, monitoring programs, or performing participant reviews.
  • Experience providing exceptional customer service in a variety of modalities with the confidence to act when critical situations arise.
  • Experience interfacing with large systems or enterprise software and databases.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and situations, identifying alternative solutions, forecast of consequences and recommendation of an effective course of action.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated experience managing deadlines and priorities during periods of high activity.
  • Experience with data analysis, including use of information to identify errors, optimize program processes and potential enhancements and efficiencies in program workflows.
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Other Qualifications - Relevant but not required
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Experience with Leepfrog’s CourseLeaf systems (CLSS, CIM, CAT, PATH).
  • Experience with CollegeNet Series25 products (25Live Pro, S25 Optimizer) or other event management software.
  • Experience with a student information system, (e.g., Ellucian Banner, Colleague, etc.).
  • Experience with enterprise data reporting systems (e.g., Argos, Cognos, Jaspersoft, etc.).
  • Ability to work within an environment where ambiguity and the ability to pivot quickly are commonplace.
