Brief Description
The UW Graduate School is seeking a full-time SLATE Admissions Specialist to manage and maintain the admissions application Technolutions SLATE platform for the Graduate Enrollment Management Services (GEMS) team. The SLATE Admissions Specialist will provide guidance and support to functional users in the day-to-day use of Slate for graduate student admissions. Working under the direction of the Assistant Director of Slate Administration, this position will acquire, maintain, and apply up-to-date specialized knowledge of graduate school admissions using SLATE including the related principles, practices, operations, maintenance activities, methods, policies, procedures, and regulations. Key responsibilities include serving as the primary resource for all inquiries related to SLATE functionality for admissions, applying independent judgment to requests for quarterly application updates/changes, documenting all Slate processes, and creating and maintaining resources for Slate user training.

The SLATE Admissions Specialist is a key member of the GEMS team. GEMS ensures that the University of Washington’s (UW) high standards for admissions are maintained by providing leadership to graduate programs as it relates to the graduate admissions process, ensuring compliance with all state, federal, and UW policies and processes.  This position will also facilitate communications between information technology staff, end-users, and stakeholders.
