The Division of Student Services and Enrollment Management advances the University of Oregon's tradition of excellence by enrolling and retaining high-achieving scholars from Oregon, across the country, and around the world. We work on behalf of prospective students, current students, and their families through each phase of the enrollment process: the college search, admission, registration, financial aid, matriculation, transition, and onward to graduation.
The Office of the Registrar is responsible for academic and classroom scheduling, student registration, enrollment verification, grading, academic records maintenance, transfer credit articulation, degree audits, monitoring undergraduate general education requirements, degree awarding, course evaluations, student data/statistical analysis, veterans’ benefits compliance and administration, FERPA compliance, and transcript services. These responsibilities, assignments, and services are completed within institutional policies and standards as well as related state and federal laws and regulations.
The Degree Audit Manager will work with the Catalog and Curriculum Manager in navigating and reviewing institution and curriculum policy changes for consistency and accuracy. Additionally, the Degree Audit Manager will work in close cooperation with other university administrative areas including the Division of Undergraduate Education and Student Success and all academic departments. They will have the authority to act on the Senior Assistant Registrar’s behalf in establishing methods for implementing new policies and procedures with regard to the degree audit.
The Degree Audit Manager is a vital part of the Academic Scheduling and Curriculum team and will help foster equity and inclusion by contributing to a welcoming, safe, and respectful work environment. In addition, this position also collaborates with other members of the Office of the Registrar and campus partners to support Scheduling and Curriculum activities as needed.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Three years of experience in office administrative management, with two years in a university setting.
• Three years of experience with an integrated records system.
• Experience with report preparation and presentation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within the Office of the Registrar and with other university departments.
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service to a diverse customer base.
• Ability to work under pressure and with faculty, department administrators, and others in a professional manner.
• Ability to evaluate and explain complex academic rules and curriculum.
• Ability to lead training or workshops for diverse audiences.
• Commitment to working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, in support of an inclusive and welcoming environment.
• Master's degree.
• Experience with curricular processes.
• Working knowledge of catalog management (CourseLeaf or similar) software.
• Working knowledge of degree audit (Degree Works or similar) software.
• Experience building and running reports in an integrated data reporting system.
• Experience acting autonomously, including being the primary contact for a project.
