Brief Description
Under general direction of the University Registrar, the Associate Registrar is responsible for planning, prioritizing, and overseeing the functions of the Academic Publications & Scheduling Services; the Assistant Registrar for Records, Registration, and Communications; and the Assistant Registrar for Graduation Advising, Degree Audit Programming, and Articulation units under the Office of the Registrar. This position provides leadership, direction and serves as key contact for the Office of the Registrar. The Associate Registrar participates in planning activities, assessment of goals and initiatives, supports the strategic plan for Enrollment Management Services, and ensures high quality customer service within the Office of the Registrar.

Mandatory Vaccinations:

The CSU requires faculty, staff, and students who are accessing campus facilities to be fully immunized against COVID-19 or have received a medical or religious exemption.  Selected candidates should be prepared to comply with this requirement.

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills: 

  • Bilingual
  • Student Information System (such as PeopleSoft)
  • Project Management
  • Management experience in an office of the Registrar or an equivalent setting

Required Education and Experience:

Master's degree or 4-6 years of equivalent work experience; 5 years of progressively responsible professional/
administrative experience managing office operations and communications; and three years working in a leadership
capacity.

Time Base: Full-time- 1.0

Pay Plan: 12/12

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer - Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm. 

Salary and Benefits Information:

Salary commensurate with education and experience of the individual selected. (Anticipated hiring salary not to exceed:  $85,000 per year).

This position qualifies for benefits including tuition fee waiver (if eligible).

This position is a Higher Education Employer-Employee Relations Act (HEERA) designated managerial position and comes under the Management Personnel Plan (MPP) of the California State University. Individuals appointed to management positions serve at the pleasure of the President or designee. They are excluded from the collective bargaining process, are not subject to probationary service, and do not receive tenure or permanent status. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
