Position Summary:
The Office of Enrollment Services at OSU-Cascades is seeking an Assistant Director of Admissions Operations. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position. This position will be located in Bend, OR.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Enrollment Services, the Assistant Director of Admissions Operations develops and supervises a team of two to three classified staff and directs and supports the processing functions of the Office of Admissions at OSU-Cascades including freshman, undergraduate, post baccalaureate, graduate, professional and non-degree applications for admission. Duties include interacting with the public, maintaining accurate database records and retrieving information as needed from a variety of software systems. Detailed and ongoing training is required to support the team in admissions best practice. This role also supports transfer credit articulation for undergraduate students.
OSU-Cascades, located in Bend, Oregon is a branch campus of Oregon State University. Established in 2001, the university currently enrolls more than 1,300 students in bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. The campus expanded to a four-year university in 2015, opened its 10-acre campus in fall 2016, and the Oregon legislature approved additional funding in 2017, 2018 and 2021 for continued campus expansion, which is currently in progress. The branch campus has ambitious enrollment goals to reach 3,000 students and is engaged in building a culturally diverse and community-centric educational environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in field of choice from a regionally accredited college or university.
Two years of professional experience related to student services or enrollment management at a college or university.
Ability to work with and counsel diverse students, parents, and community members with the ability to handle difficult situations and conversations.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Perform work with accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality.
Knowledge of and ability to work with computer supported systems; Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook or related.

Ability to follow, interpret and apply policies regarding higher education.
