Hiring Range: $22.60-$24.52 per hour, DOE with excellent benefits.

FT; Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

General Description:

The Evaluations Administrator is responsible for evaluating domestic and international transfer credit to the institution, both for prospective and currently enrolled undergraduate students. This position also maintains transfer course equivalency guides, articulation agreements, and best practices related to the evaluation of college level transfer credit from other institutions and programs such as Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate. Reports to the Registrar.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate transfer credit for prospective and current students (domestic 4 year and international) through researching course work, accreditation, degree programs, grade conversions and credit translations.
  • Serve as the lead evaluator, with assistance from one Registrar’s Office staff member, and in coordination with the Office of Admission.
  • Process approved exceptions to academic requirements, making all necessary adjustments to student records.
  • Evaluate and enter data for the automated degree audit system (CAPP). Address student and faculty questions related to course credit, institutional comparisons, and transfer equivalencies.
  • Advise Registrar and Admission staff on the prospective student evaluation process, including technical, practical, and response time considerations.
  • Serve as the liaison between faculty, staff, and the Office of the Registrar regarding transfer equivalencies.
  • Maintain transfer course equivalencies.
  • Coordinate and manage articulation agreements from other institutions, domestic and international as well as pursue possible articulation agreements with other western states similar to the Washington State Direct Transfer Agreement.
  • Support the degree awarding process.
  • Serve on University committees.
  • Participate in outside professional organizations and represent PLU and the Office of the Registrar.
  • Support the Office of the President in the execution of the PLU Commencement ceremony.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  1. Five years of job-related experience. Education may substitute for some experience.
  2. High school diploma or GED.
  3. Finalist applicants must satisfactorily complete pre-employment background check and declaration regarding sexual misconduct with references, subject to verification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5 years of experience in credential and course evaluation.
