Brief Description
The Senior Athletic Compliance Coordinator works in a team to develop policies and practices for NCAA compliance and to manage, monitor, and recommend improvements for the student athlete eligibility process. In addition to athletic certification, this position will also assist the Assistant Registrar in the maintenance, development, and training of the degree audit system.

Position Summary:
The Senior Athletic Compliance Coordinator assists and supports the University Registrar and Senior Associate Registrar in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the various facets of the operations of the Office of the Registrar. The Senior Athletic Compliance Coordinator provides highly responsible technical work in the NCAA athletic compliance operation of the Registrar's Office. The Senior Athletic Compliance Coordinator works in a team to develop policies and practices for NCAA compliance and to manage, monitor, and recommend improvements for the student athlete eligibility process. In addition to athletic certification, this position will also assist the Assistant Registrar in the maintenance, development, and training of the degree audit system. This position is responsible for effective communication to students, faculty, staff, and the general public through the website and through written letters and messages to constituencies. This position serves on University committees as appropriate and represents the Registrar in various University initiatives.

This position reports to the Senior Associate Registrar.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, business,or a related field and at least two years of experience with a combination of registrar and/or higher education experience.
  • Experience with NCAA eligibility requirements.
  • Experience evaluating degree requirements, and curriculum.
  • Experience independently researching materials to compile, develop and summarize material for professional reports on a frequent or recurring basis.
  • Experience analyzing information, identifying problems, defining alternatives, and developing recommendations for management/administrators.
  • Experience interpreting and applying rules, regulations, and laws regarding student records.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree.
  • Experience with NCAA Division I academic eligibility requirements.
  • Experience working in the Registrar’s Office.
  • Experience with Banner student information system.
  • Experience with DegreeWorks degree audit system.
  • Ability to represent University in community/professional situations.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
