The Associate Registrar manages multiple functions and provides primary leadership, management, planning and coordination of curriculum within the Office of the Registrar, including articulation agreements, course equivalencies, credit entry, degree audit, and catalog. Uses independent decision-making and creativity to assess, create, and enhance department business processes by using technology solutions wherever possible to streamline systems. It has a campus-wide impact for a variety of functions and represents the Office of the Registrar to campus and external organizations. Works closely with representatives from Enrollment Management offices, UC Merced Schools, the Bright Success Center, Student Business Services, Information Technology, the SIS Team, the Division of Student Affairs, and the UC Office of the President (UCOP) to properly maintain system functionality, to ensure curriculum record accuracy and integrity reflecting Academic Senate policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws. Develops short- and long-term departmental goals. Serves as key member of the Office of the Registrar Management Team and, in the absence of the University Registrar, provides departmental and operational authority.
