Brief Description
The University of Washington’s (UW) Graduate School is seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Slate Administration to oversee the implementation and management of the admissions application Technolutions Slate platform. Reporting to the Director of Graduate Enrollment Management Services (GEMS) and following best practices in the field of graduate admissions, this position manages the administrative functions of the Slate system to support faculty and staff users and graduate applicants.

Job Details
The Assistant Director provides leadership to graduate programs around the graduate admissions process, conducts technology-based analysis of graduate program admissions business practices, processes and problems, and ensures compliance with state, federal, and UW policies and processes. Additional key responsibilities include developing solutions which may involve process design and policy or procedural changes; generating data reports/queries to support graduate program(s) needs; administering user accounts and security; managing application elements in the Slate system; and planning and executing end-user acceptance testing. This role also develops training materials for system users and creates documentation of Slate structure, function, and processes.  The Assistant Director leads cross-functional teams to solve complex business or systems issues and must be equally comfortable working with information technology staff, end users, and stakeholders
